HOW DO I....
OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?

Repeat prescribing is an arrangement for the mutual benefit of patients and doctors. It allows you to have a supply of drugs you need regularly without seeing a doctor every time. Not all drugs are considered as regular items, and it may be that you will be required to see a doctor to review your medication. There are six ways to order your regular medication:

1) Call the dedicated telephone 01274 717295 between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm.
2) Register to order online. Please ask our reception team, who will register you and post the details out to you.
3) Complete the computer prescription slip and post it in box in the foyer.
4) Fax your request on 01274 532426. (This is a Safe Haven Fax Number)
5) Post your request.
6) Ask your local Chemist about their ordering/collection service:

* Alliance Pharmacy 01274 599576
* Browgate Pharmacy 01274 583534
* Cliffe Avenue Pharmacy 01274 593274

Please note that our receptionists are only allowed to issue drugs that are listed on the regular prescriptions (all prescriptions are then checked and signed by the doctor).

We have safety systems that alert and warn us if the review of your medication is required.

If your prescription request is not on the computer there may be a delay and you may be asked to see a doctor. Your safety is paramount.

We endeavour to have your regular prescription ready within 24 hours. You may however have to wait 48 hours for certain items that your doctor feels should not be prescribed on a regular basis.

You can now book your appointment or order your
prescription on-line: Click Here
Please ask our receptionist how to register to use this.
